If Everett wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Okemos, they should've done a better job of containing Micaela Forcum. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings on Tuesday with plenty of help from Forcum, who had nine aces and two assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3 aces per game.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Okemos took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-4, 25-15.

Okemos' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexa Ruh, who had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Ruh a new career-high. Zoe Taylor also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Okemos was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 32 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Okemos has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Everett, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Okemos will square off against Flushing at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Everett, they will face off against Holt at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th.
