Tooele extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-13. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles. Even though they lost, the Buffaloes' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Ethan Jenkins and Hunter Fawson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jenkins went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI, while Fawson went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Connor Higgins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
As for Deseret Peak, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games.
On Deseret Peak's side, Kaleb Vorwaller was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four hits gave Vorwaller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckham Rowley, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
