Softball Recap: Canterbury Comes Up Short

Canterbury and Southwest Florida Christian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Canterbury had to settle for second. They lost 11-3 to the King's. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tess Moore and Cali Baust stepped up to the plate in a big way. Moore went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI, while Baust went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Baust is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.

Canterbury's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Southwest Florida Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10.

Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Evangelical Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sentinels will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the King's surely won't give up without a fight.
