Basketball Recap: Sipsey Valley Comes Up Short

Sipsey Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bears came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 261st).

Sipsey Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for John Carroll Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Northside the next time they take the court. John Carroll Catholic will host Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Sipsey Valley will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
