Soccer Game Preview: Fort Lupton vs. Arrupe Jesuit

The Fort Lupton Bluedevils will head out on the road to face off against the Arrupe Jesuit Generals at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Lupton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Fort Lupton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Alameda as they made off with a 5-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fort Lupton.

They hit Alameda with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daniel Ascencio Solito (2), Javier Osuna, Archie Gonzalez, and Alexis Resendez.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Arrupe Jesuit and Middle Park meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Generals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Panthers. Arrupe Jesuit's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Arrupe Jesuit now has a winning record of 5-4-2. As for Fort Lupton, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Everything went Fort Lupton's way against Arrupe Jesuit in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Fort Lupton made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluedevils since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
