Softball Game Preview: Renton Red Hawks vs. Lindbergh Eagles

Renton hasn't had much luck against Lindbergh recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Renton is taking a road trip to face off against Lindbergh at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Renton came up short against Mercer Island on Monday, falling 17-6.

Mayliahna Pitoau made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Hull, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lindbergh lost 14-3 to Interlake on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Renton suffered a grim 24-8 defeat to Lindbergh when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Renton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
