Baseball Recap: Reading Comes Up Short

Reading lost against Maple Valley back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rangers fell 9-4 to the Lions.

Reading saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Wright, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Reading's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Maple Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Reading will take on Stockbridge at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maple Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Hudsonville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
