Softball Recap: Piscataquis Comes Up Short

Piscataquis couldn't beat Penquis Valley on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Pirates came up short against the Patriots, falling 16-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Piscataquis' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Penquis Valley, they moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piscataquis will host Central at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Penquis Valley, they will square off against Maine Central Institute at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
