Central A & M blew Tuscola out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Tuscola got their revenge. The Raiders fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered against the Warriors since April 2, 2019.

Gwyn Hardimon put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Lyndi Woods was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Callie Robertson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Meridian and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg kept the tradition alive. The Hawks fell 4-0 to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.
Central A & M's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Meridian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Central A & M has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Meridian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Central A & M couldn't quite get it done against Meridian in their previous meeting on April 1st as they fell 7-3. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
