North Plainfield was forced to take a big defeat against they on Friday, they got the better of them on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the South River Rams 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Canucks: when they faced off against the Rams on Friday, they had to take a 7-0 loss.

Tommy Zotollo was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Zotollo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Jake Z was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Victor Ceda, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

North Plainfield's record is now 9-3. As for South River, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Looking ahead, North Plainfield will take on South Amboy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South River, they will square off against Kennedy Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.8, the Mustangs 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
