Basketball Recap: Dawson Comes Up Short

Dawson lost against South Houston back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dawson Eagles took a hard 94-78 fall against the South Houston Trojans. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Dawson now has a losing record at 15-16. As for South Houston, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-9.

Dawson and South Houston should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Dawson will challenge Sam Rayburn at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday up 552 places (435 vs. 987). Similarly, South Houston (ranked 265th) will meet Dobie (ranked 732nd) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
