Basketball Recap: Navajo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cordell last Tuesday, Navajo came back down to earth. The Navajo Indians were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 53-52 to the Mangum Tigers. The Indians have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Navajo's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Mangum, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Navajo will welcome Mountain View-Gotebo at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Navajo is facing Mountain View-Gotebo at the right time seeing as Mountain View-Gotebo is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Mangum, they will take on Burns Flat-Dill City at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
