Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Comes Up Short

Westminster Christian managed to slip by Aurora Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors lost 14-4 to the Eagles on Wednesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Westminster Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Braoudakis, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was Braoudakis' first of the season.

Westminster Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Aurora Christian, their record is now 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian will head out to square off against Christian Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Aurora Christian, they will challenge Wheaton Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
