Volleyball Game Preview: Northwest Vikings vs. Kirkwood Cobras

Northwest is a perfect 4-0 against Kirkwood since August of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will challenge the Cobras at 6:30 p.m. Kirkwood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Northwest, who comes in off a win.

Northwest and Northeast faced off in a cross-town battle on Thursday. The Vikings came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1.

The victory didn't come easy: Northeast scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-27, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Kirkwood came up short against Clarksville on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Cobras have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-15.

Northwest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Kirkwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Northwest was able to grind out a solid win over Kirkwood in their previous matchup back in August, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
