Softball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Takes a Loss

Regis hit Elmwood/Plum City with a five-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves came up short against the Ramblers, falling 12-2. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Macie Garfield made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Ellison Maxwell also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Elmwood/Plum City now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Regis, they moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Elmwood/Plum City and Regis will both be playing Mellen the next time they take the field. The Ramblers will head out to face the Granite Diggers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
