Soccer Recap: Taylorville Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Taylorville after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Lincoln Railsplitters by a score of 2-1. Taylorville have struggled against Lincoln recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Taylorville's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylorville will square off against Decatur Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Taylorville are facing Decatur Eisenhower at the right time seeing as Decatur Eisenhower are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Lincoln, they will face off against Pleasant Plains/New Berlin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
