Basketball Recap: Burlington's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westosha Central, Burlington was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wilmot Panthers by a score of 44-35. Given the Demons' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Panthers are ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Burlington's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Wilmot, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Burlington will head out to challenge Badger at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Badger's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches. Wilmot has already played their next game (against Elkhorn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
