Basketball Recap: Rappahannock Comes Up Short

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Rappahannock was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Northumberland Indians and fell 67-25. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Tyreek Lundy, who posted 26 points and four steals for Northumberland. Lundy's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Howard, who put up ten points.

Rappahannock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northumberland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rappahannock will head out to take on Essex at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rappahannock is facing Essex at the right time seeing as Essex is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northumberland, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northumberland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
