Volleyball Recap: Mills Comes Up Short

Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Los Gatos Wildcats. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Mills saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kara Da Luz had five digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Da Luz.

Mills' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Los Gatos, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Mills has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Sequoia on the 30th. As for Los Gatos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Westmont on the 30th.
