Basketball Recap: Greenwich Comes Up Short

Greenwich lost against Trumbull back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Greenwich Cardinals fell 53-40 to the Trumbull Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cardinals came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Eagles are ranked 60th).

Greenwich's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Trumbull, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Greenwich nor Trumbull have any future games scheduled.
