It was a good run, but Rolling Meadows unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheeling Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss two weeks ago.

While Rolling Meadows had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Inti Zapata paced Rolling Meadows' offense, picking up 13 kills. Zapata got some help from Logan Quadros and his 21 assists.

Rolling Meadows' loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Wheeling, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Rolling Meadows will venture away from home to face off against Addison Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wheeling, they will take on Saint Viator in a tournament on Saturday.
