Softball Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

Seneca lost against Fairdale back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Hawks lost 17-2 to the Bulldogs. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fairdale, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Seneca will welcome Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Hawks will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Fairdale, they will head out on the road to square off against Breckinridge County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.83 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
