Baseball Recap: Hammonton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hammonton barely beat Oakcrest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 11-1 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Hammonton's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Oakcrest, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hammonton will take on Vineland at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakcrest, they will challenge Lower Cape May at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
