Recap: Georgetown G-Men vs. Seven Hills Stingers

The Georgetown G-Men's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-43 bruising from Seven Hills. Georgetown was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Seven Hills apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.

Georgetown's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabrielle Ernst, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzy Cahall, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Georgetown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Georgetown now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Seven Hills, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown will take on Gamble Montessori at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Seven Hills, they will be playing at home against Clermont Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Seven Hills is coming into the matchup with five straight wins at home, meaning Clermont Northeastern will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
