Basketball Recap: Eagle River Comes Up Short

Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 36th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the Bartlett Golden Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-34 back in January.

Eagle River's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Bartlett, their win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-14.

Coming up, Eagle River will head out to face off against Birchwood Christian at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd. The Wolves' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 51.1 points per game this season. As for Bartlett, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dimond at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
