Softball Game Preview: Pike Liberal Arts Patriots vs. Eufaula Tigers

Pike Liberal Arts hasn't had much luck against Eufaula recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Pike Liberal Arts will take on Eufaula at 4:30 p.m. Pike Liberal Arts is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Pike Liberal Arts' tournament run continued when they took on Saint James on Saturday. Pike Liberal Arts took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint James.

Pike Liberal Arts saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Holland Stephens, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Stephens has posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, Eufaula fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Headland two weeks ago but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 7-6. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Aaliyah Brooks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. She also put up a run, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Natoria Brascom, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Eufaula's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Pike Liberal Arts, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
