Football Recap: De Queen Comes Up Short

De Queen lost against Hot Springs back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leopards took a blow against the Trojans, falling 56-7. The Leopards were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Sedrick Allen produced another solid effort throwing for 342 yards and six TDs while completing 88.2% of his passes for Hot Springs. Allen is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. 121 of Allen's passing yards were hauled in by Ja'Marcis Morning, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for De Queen and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Hot Springs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, De Queen will host Camden Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hot Springs, they will square off against Magnolia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
