Volleyball Recap: Oak Grove Takes a Loss

Oak Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northside Rams. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12.

Northside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyndall Bennett, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Bennett has posted since back in October of 2024.

Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-2.

Oak Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Addison on the 20th. As for Northside, they will face off against University Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
