Daphne extended their winning streak to ten on Tuesday, bumping them up to 10-0. They took down the Enterprise Wildcats 31-15. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Daphne had a senior duo take command as Abby Johnson picked up 99 receiving yards and four scores and Aubrey Gregg threw for 168 yards and five TDs. Johnson got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 60 yards.
Daphne didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Enterprise to a completion percentage of just 41.7%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Johnson and Fredayshia Goodwin, who each logged three passes deflected. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Daphne; they were averaging 57.7%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 57.7%.
Daphne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Johnson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
As for Enterprise, they moved to 11-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 6.73 points allowed.
Despite the loss, Enterprise still got an impressive performance from Za'Meria Adams, who picked up 92 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Coming up, Daphne will challenge Spanish Fort at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enterprise, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 24-0 victory against Baldwin County on the 7th.
