Turtle Lake/Clayton typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Shell Lake proved too difficult a challenge. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Titans an 8-0 shutout. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Lily Anderson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Missy Melton also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Shell Lake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Turtle Lake/Clayton only posted an OBP of .176.

Shell Lake's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Turtle Lake/Clayton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shell Lake will welcome Cadott at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Turtle Lake/Clayton, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Webster/Siren at 5:00 p.m.
