Baseball Recap: Interlachen Comes Up Short

Interlachen might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Middleburg who claimed the real prize. The Interlachen Rams fell just short of the Middleburg Broncos by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 back in February.

Rodney Blackwelder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Interlachen's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Middleburg, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Interlachen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-5 victory against Williston on the 11th. As for Middleburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Providence School on the 11th.
