Soccer Recap: The Burlington School Comes Up Short

The Burlington School was the 4-2 winner over Triad Math and Science Academy when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. Sebastian Urgiles is probably feeling rather frustrated with he team right now: they lost despite he posting three goals.

This is the second loss in a row for The Burlington School and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Burlington School will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Burlington Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they will challenge Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leadership Academy's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
