After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cuba/Spoon River Valley, Astoria/VIT was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Lewistown Indians with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Indians back in November of 2024, they had to take a 46-38 loss.

Astoria/VIT's win bumped their record up to 3-21. As for Lewistown, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Astoria/VIT will head out to challenge Havana at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Havana is on a three-game streak of home losses, Astoria/VIT a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change. As for Lewistown, they will venture away from home to square off against Beardstown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
