Basketball Recap: Pettisville Takes a Loss

If Pettisville was feeling good fresh off their 62-26 takedown of Holgate last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pettisville Blackbirds took a hard 48-34 fall against the Fairview Apaches on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blackbirds came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Apaches are ranked 542nd).

Pettisville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Fairview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pettisville will venture away from home to face off against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fairview, they will head out to take on Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
