Basketball Recap: Frankfort Comes Up Short

Frankfort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins 89-15. While losing is never fun, the Hot Dogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Bruins are ranked 156th).

Ava Jarman was Frankfort's leading scorer, having posted six points. Kynlee Myers held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Leading Tri-West Hendricks to victory were Lauren Bear and Aniyah Anthony. Bear went 6 of 9 on her way to 17 points and four steals, while Anthony went 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Bear's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Canada, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Frankfort's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Tri-West Hendricks, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Frankfort wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-12 loss against Tri-Central on the 17th. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-49 defeat against Sheridan on the 17th.
