Volleyball Recap: Cahokia Takes a Loss

Cahokia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marion Wildcats. If the Comanches were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9.

Marion can attribute much of their success to Adriana Dunning, who had five aces.

Cahokia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Marion, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Marion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Johnston City on the 6th. Hopefully Cahokia paid attention to the Wildcats' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
