Marlboro fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Jackson Memorial on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 6-4. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jordan Chan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases were her first of the season.

Marlboro's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Jackson Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Marlboro will venture away from home to challenge Watchung Hills Regional at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson Memorial, they will square off against Robbinsville at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
