Baseball Recap: Marshall County Tigers vs. Franklin County Rebels

Marshall County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Franklin County Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on Tuesday.

Marshall County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aden Kirby, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Kirby snagged this season.

Marshall County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Franklin County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall County will square off against Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin County, they will face off against Wilson Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
