Recap: Garner Trojans vs. Clayton Comets
The Garner Trojans fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They claimed a resounding 58-21 win over Clayton at home. That 58-21 margin sets a new team best for Garner this season.
It was another big night for Olivia Jacobs, who scored 30 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Garner's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sumayah Jones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Garner's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Clayton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
