If Pueblo Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mesa Ridge, they should've done a better job of containing Maya Warriax. The Mesa Ridge Grizzlies really took it to the Pueblo Central Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-20 win thanks to Warriax, who went 6-for-8 en route to 18 points and six boards. She is becoming a predictor of Mesa Ridge's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 4-11 when she doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Riley Duysen, who posted five points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (33%).

Pueblo Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leyla Padilla, who earned eight points.

Mesa Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Pueblo Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesa Ridge will welcome Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mesa Ridge is facing Coronado at the right time seeing as Coronado is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Pueblo Central, they will be playing at home against Pueblo County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
