Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington lost against Trinity Christian Academy back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lexington fell just short of Trinity Christian Academy by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lexington saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Foster, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave Foster a new career-high. Ethan Renfroe also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their record now sits at 5-9.

Looking ahead, Lexington will be playing at home against Dyer County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Trinity Christian Academy Lions face off against McNairy Central Bobcats at 6:20 p.m. on Friday. McNairy Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Trinity Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
