Volleyball Recap: Chicopee Comp Takes a Loss

Chicopee Comp was the 3-1 winner over South Hadley when they last played one another on September 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Colts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-21 in the first set.

Chicopee Comp took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Chicopee Comp's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for South Hadley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicopee Comp will venture away from home to take on Commerce at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Hadley, they will take on Greenfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Green Wave have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
