Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nolensville Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Tuesday.

Franklin got a good showing from Brody GIfford, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, GIfford gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Nolensville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-9.

While Franklin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
