The Thousand Oaks Lancers will take on the Santa Paula Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Santa Paula took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Thousand Oaks, who comes in off a win.
Thousand Oaks' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Hueneme 25-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

Samantha Case made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in hits (zero). She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and one triple while going 4-for-4. In other batting news, Olivia LePage was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and three doubles. Madison Jauregui was another key player, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.
Thousand Oaks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hueneme only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Santa Paula's offense. They came up short against Viewpoint on Thursday, falling 11-0. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly 11 runs.
Santa Paula saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angie ?Frankie? Aguilera, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Santa Paula's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thousand Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Thousand Oaks skirted past Santa Paula 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Will Thousand Oaks repeat their success, or does Santa Paula have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
