Softball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Franklin County and Milan, and Milan kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Franklin County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annie Hoff, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Milan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Franklin County will host Northeastern at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Milan, they will venture away from home to challenge Centerville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
