Basketball Recap: Southern Guilford Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Southern Guilford had lost seven straight headed into Friday's contest, but Amari Robinson didn't let it get to eight. The Southern Guilford Storm snuck past the Atkins Camels with a 54-48 victory on Friday thanks in part to Robinson, who posted 27 points. The matchup was his ninth in a row with at least ten points.

Southern Guilford's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Atkins, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Guilford will host Ben L. Smith at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atkins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern Guilford at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
