Basketball Recap: Levi Ekue and Sully Vanosdall Secure Win for Platteview

A well-balanced attack led Platteview over Beatrice in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Trojans blew past the Orangemen 43-23. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Orangemen recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Leading Platteview to victory were Sully Vanosdall and Levi Ekue. Vanosdall went 9-for-15 en route to 22 points along with five boards and three steals, while Ekue almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Vanosdall also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Trevor Daly also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Platteview picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Beatrice, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Platteview and Beatrice will both be playing Malcolm the next time they take the court. The Trojans will host the Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Orangemen will head out to face them on Saturday.
