Basketball Recap: Morro Bay Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nipomo last Tuesday, Morro Bay came back down to earth. The Morro Bay Pirates lost 67-44 to the Cabrillo Conquistadores on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered against the Conquistadores since January 24, 2018.

Morro Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Cabrillo, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morro Bay has already played their next match (against Santa Ynez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cabrillo will head out to challenge Nipomo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cabrillo is facing Nipomo at the right time seeing as Nipomo is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
