Basketball Recap: Clinton Falls Short Against Ranked Tupelo

On Thursday, Clinton faced Tupelo in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Clinton Arrows came up short against the Tupelo Golden Wave, falling 71-45. The Arrows were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Wave earlier this season, when they won 54-53.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Tupelo, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Clinton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-35 loss against Starkville on the 24th. As for Tupelo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-45 victory against Murrah on the 24th.
