Softball Recap: Sanborn Regional Comes Up Short

Sanborn Regional fell victim to Merrimack Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Pride by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 12-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Sanborn Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Merrimack Valley, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sanborn Regional will take on Oyster River at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Merrimack Valley, they will face off against Manchester West at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
